Description
The La Hacienda was designed by SHS over 20 years ago. The original lanterns were commissioned for a 1920’s Hacienda built for a Hollywood Movie Executive in the Santa Barbara mountains. It was right after the Charles Lindbergh kidnapping incident and the executive wanted a safe place to raise his new family. The La Hacienda is surrounded by high walls and iron gates. The grill work and hammered detail on the La Hacienda lanterns is indicative of the “armored” look that was common in the Haciendas of New Spain.
